Well ok, not entirely. For some reason I still haven't touched their autocannons, but those will have to wait until tomorrow. Here is some photographic proof.
Success!
Don't they look so nice and uniform now. The only problem is that their colour + camouflage makes them blend in with their bases a bit, but that makes sense thematically so I'm going to keep on basing with the same method.
Also, Straken's squad is progressing nicely. Here we have pictures of the man himself, his medic, and the riflemen.
These guys just need some touch ups and basing before they are good to go. Now we should take some time to examine what is left for me to do tomorrow.
1) The platoon command squad. 4 models left.
2) Fixing the Valkyrie
3) The Leman Russ (first rough coat of Catachan Green and Boltgun Metal so far)
4) The second 21 man combined squad. I've done skin and pants on these guys so far. Only about half the squad needs work, as the others are painted to an acceptable standard.
This means that I will have quite a bit of work to do to get these dudes done for Saturday, but I think that I will do ok.
Finally, here are some pictures of the enemy. My brother finished up his models tonight so that he can have a nice break tomorrow before the big day.
Blood Angels, ready to charge some guardsmen.
The ideal scenario for my Russ!
There you have it! I have 31 models to paint and/or base tomorrow, and I'm going to get them done no matter what the cost.
