What's this, posts on consecutive days?!?
That's right, time for an update on my painting progress. I've managed to get the initial coats of green and metal done on the chimera:

I've also done a good bit of the legwork on the chaos marines. They mostly just need touchups in black and washes on the metal, plus some small details on a couple individuals. The goal is to get pretty close to the pre heresy Dark Angels's colour scheme.

a fine spawn or daemon prince if I win enough challenges. |
The other major consideration for the chaos marines is the shoulder pad markings. I'm not confident that I could free hand a variation of the Dark Angels's chapter badge to a standard I would be happy with, so I think I'm just going to leave them black for now.
Finally I have some pictures of some of the guns I need to finish getting ready and my army in their transport box.
