Something Wicked This Way Comes!

Well, it's that time of year again.  With the second annual Team OP tournament only three days away it is time to resurrect this blog and track some progress.  I'm using a similar list to the one I used last year, except some changes in the allowed army composition have led me to spice things up a bit.

The main difference is that the different spots on the Force Organization Chart have a maximum amount of spendable points, so I was forced to cut down on my heavy support.  Also, there is a mandatory 500 point allied attachment, which will be my Fallen Angel led Chaos Marines.  Without further adieu, here is the list.

As you can see this is a real mishmash of shooting and assault elements.  I've lost two practice games so far against my brother's Blood Angel + Tau force, but I'm confident in this latest iteration.  

The nice thing about using a similar list to last year's is that I don't have much painting to do.  To make it a bit of a challenge I have stripped the Marine squad and my Chimera to be repainted.  I also have to paint up the lascannons for my Vendetta, the heavy bolter on my Russ, and the autocannons for my sentinels.

I'm not quite sure if my Chaos Lord is characterful enough to obviously be the HQ choice in his squad, but aside from that I am pretty happy with how this stuff is looking before any paint is on it.  At this moment I'm just waiting for paint to dry.
